Week Five
Mission and Purpose Statements

BEFORE MEETING:
MISSION CREATION
Do you have a Life’s Purpose or Mission Statement? Do you remember it? Do you use it?
Write down any mission and/or purpose statement that you have developed for yourself. It could be from the NWTA or any other training you have taken regarding Life’s Purpose and Mission.
If you don’t have a mission statement currently, write down some notes about what your essence is, i.e. why are you here on the earth plane this time around? The work you did in the previous section will be helpful to you. If none of that makes any sense for you, take a look at the mission creation process guide:
Missions and Purpose Statements Can Come in Numerous Forms. The “Standard” plain-language form is as follows: Mission = Vision + Action. Example: I co-create a peaceful world of healing and wholeness by listening and practicing unconditional love and compassion. Can you turn that into a poem? Example:
I listen.
I practice unconditional love and compassion.
Peace flows through me into the world.
Healing and wholeness are realized.
I breathe life in and out, giving and receiving.
Can you turn that into a lyric... the song of your soul? Examples from historic music artists might be Matisyahu's One Day or John Lennon's Imagine. One of our Gold Miners created his own mission song. Whichever form of expression you choose, consider this: does my life’s purpose or mission generate from my essence? Or it from a wound? Is this mission really mine? Or am I living someone else’s mission?

IN-GROUP FOCUS:
MISSION AND PURPOSE STATEMENTS | SUPPORT MISSIONS AND AFFIRMATIONS
For the live session we will develop our Mission and Purpose Statements. We will also consider Support Missions/Affirmations. In Gold Mining, we recognize that all parts of us need to row together. This is not always easy. There may be parts of us that resist the positive direction we want to go in. That is why we have created the concept of Support Missions/ Affirmations to assist us. Once our Life’s Purpose and Mission is clear, we can work to get all parts of us in alignment.
For example, do you need a Support Mission/Affirmation around:
-
Money
-
Sexual/Creative Energy
-
Relationships
-
Health
-
Another specific area of life that trips you up or you want to expand?
